Glamorous Amorous!

I'll be honest, I was getting ready to go see The Lady Boys of Bangkok while listening to Taylor Swift. I got a little carried away and next thing I knew I had to get from one end of Edinburgh (Carlton Terrace) to the opposite end (Meadowbank) in 15 mins.  Thankfully, the minute I stepped out of the flat a taxi drove by. There is a reason I'm telling you this. I promise.

So, I tell my drive to take me to The Meadows and he immediately says, "Oh, you're seeing The Lady Boys."  Here we are, this 40 something year old, burly, hairy taxi driver and I'm thinking he's going to judge. Au contraire my friends.  He tells me it's a fantastic show and that his WIFE took him  TWICE to see it. How about that!

Well, I made it JUST in time and was sat a round table right in the center front. I shared a table with a suburban family of four. I look around, tons of straight laced suburbanites wearing their Saturday night finest (read: guys with guido shirts - ladies in leopard).  I knew this was going to be fun.

The show was amazing! They opened up with J.Lo, threw in some Cher, Tina, Frank Sinatra and some weird song that everyone knew except me, "Who The F*ck is Alice".

This was supposed to be Whitney Houston. I didn't get it.
