Hopped off the plane at EDI with a dream and my cardigan...

Over here there can be four seasons in one day.  Over here when I wake up in the morning all I hear are birds and most of the time the rain.  It's always raining here.  Walking down the street the first two days I noticed that I kind of exhale bigger (if that makes sense). You know the big kind, like, "what a relief".  My shoulders drop and I smile.  Why am I telling you this?  Well, I keep getting the same question over and over again:

"Why are you going back to Scotland?"

That's why. So, there you have it.

Enjoy some photos of my first few days in Edinburgh. The Festival starts Saturday and I couldn't be more excited. I picked up a festival guide and have been cutting out the shows that interest me. I'm at 28 so far. That's a lot of blog posts!

Me.
The View from the end of my street: Arthur's Seat! I plan on running it
when it's sunnier and I'll be sure to post some photos from up top.

My street! Complete opposite of what I'm used to back in NYC. Quiet,
tree lined and only about a 10 minute walk to The Royal Mile. (instagram)
The front door to the flat. It's amazing, some of these flats date back to 1822.
The one I'm living in has a beautiful chandelier in the foyer. There is also a
similar chandelier in the living room. It's all very Victorian and I love it. (instagram)
My not-so-secret private garden. Regent Gardens/Calton Hill. The best part of this flat
has got to be access to the 11 acre private garden. (instagram)
